Jhpiego, an affiliate of Johns Hopkins University, has announced multiple consultancy and trainer vacancies in Nigeria as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen the country’s primary healthcare system.

These opportunities are open to experienced public health professionals looking to contribute to impactful health programs across Abuja, Kebbi State, and Ebonyi State.

Available Jhpiego Vacancies in Nigeria

Jhpiego is currently recruiting for several key consultancy and trainer roles, including:

  • Trainers to facilitate workshops for the PY 2027 Annual Operational Plan (AOP)
  • Trainers for the adaptation and development of community engagement and accountability materials

 

Trainers for Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) on:

  • Community-led resource mobilization
  • Community engagement strategies
  • Social accountability frameworks

 

These roles are part of the MCGL RISE IHP Project, a major initiative aimed at improving healthcare delivery systems nationwide.

 

About the MCGL RISE IHP Project

The project focuses on strengthening Nigeria’s primary healthcare services, particularly in areas such as:

  • Maternal, newborn, and child health
    Nutrition and reproductive health
    Immunization programs
  • Malaria and HIV services
  • Community engagement and accountability
  • Successful candidates will play a critical role in designing evidence-based, costed health plans aligned with national health priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Selected consultants and trainers will:

  • Provide technical leadership in public health programs
  • Develop and adapt training materials
  • Facilitate high-level workshops and stakeholder engagements
  • Build capacity for government agencies and civil society organizations
  • Support implementation of community-driven healthcare strategies

 

Requirements

To qualify, applicants should have:

  • Strong background in public health or related field
  • Proven experience in training, facilitation, or consultancy roles
