Kano State AKY Health Fellows Adhoc Staff Recruitment 2026: Application Guide
The Kano State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency has announced the recruitment of ad-hoc staff under the AKY Health Fellows initiative as part of its effort to expand access to healthcare services across the state. The recruitment aims to support the mass enrollment of vulnerable populations into the state healthcare insurance scheme across 484 wards in the 44 Local Government Areas of Kano State.
This initiative is designed to strengthen community participation in programmes funded under the Basic Health Care Provision Fund and improve access to essential health services for residents.
Selected applicants will work within their communities to help increase awareness and enrollment in the state’s healthcare scheme.
Responsibilities of AKY Health Fellows Successful applicants will perform the following tasks:
- Register new beneficiaries into the state health insurance scheme
- Provide community sensitization on Basic Health Care Provision Fund programmes
- Conduct advocacy visits to community leaders and gatekeepers, including
- Ward Development Committees
- Support community engagement activities to increase awareness and enrollment in the health scheme
- Ad-hoc staff will be assigned to work within their Local Government Area of residence to ensure effective community outreach.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants interested in the AKY Health Fellows programme must meet the following criteria:
- Possess a Degree or HND qualification
- Reside within the Local Government Area where they intend to serve
- Have good communication skills and the ability to interact with community members
The programme is open to eligible residents across all 44 Local Government Areas and 484 wards in Kano State.
