Productive Youths Development Initiative Launches Arewa Youth Survey, Recruiting State Focal Persons Across Northern Nigeria
The Productive Youths Development Initiative has officially announced the launch of the Arewa Youth Survey, a large-scale regional project designed to capture the voices, opinions, and experiences of young people across Northern Nigeria. This important initiative focuses on critical sectors such as governance, education, healthcare, and community development, with the aim of using data-driven insights to influence policies and drive sustainable development in the region.
As part of the rollout, applications are now open for State Focal Persons in all 19 northern states, including Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto, Zamfara, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba, Yobe, Adamawa, Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, Plateau, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja. Only one representative will be selected per state.
Selected focal persons will play a key role in coordinating survey activities within their respective states. Their responsibilities will include engaging with youth groups, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring accurate data collection to support advocacy and development planning.
The opportunity is open to youth leaders, students, graduates, and individuals involved in civil society or non-governmental organizations. Applicants must hold at least a Diploma, NCE, HND, or a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and demonstrate a strong commitment to youth development in Northern Nigeria.
Participants will gain hands-on experience in research, leadership, and community engagement.
In addition, they will benefit from networking opportunities, professional visibility, and recognition for their contributions.
Although the role is voluntary, selected candidates will receive monthly incentives to support their field activities.
Interested candidates are encouraged to apply early due to limited slots.
