Gombe State Opens 200 Slots for Graduate and Artisan Upskilling Training in Oil and Gas Sector
The Gombe State Government has announced a major capacity-building initiative aimed at empowering young professionals and skilled artisans through a specialized training programme in the oil and gas sector.
The programme, coordinated by the Gombe State Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in collaboration with its oil and gas consultant, is designed to strengthen local participation in the energy industry and enhance technical expertise within the state.
Available Training Categories and Slots
A total of 200 vacancies have been approved under two major categories:
1. Graduate Trainees – 100 Slots
Applicants must possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields:
- Engineering
- Geosciences
- Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
- Environmental Sciences
Agriculture - Technical Sciences
Age Requirement: 21 to 35 years.
2. Artisan and Skilled Trades Trainees – 100 Slots
Candidates must have at least an SSCE certificate and verifiable trade skills in areas such as:
- Electrical works
- Mechanical trades
- Fabrication and welding
- Plumbing
- Other related technical skills
Age Requirement: 18 to 40 years.
