The Christian Health Association of Nigeria (CHAN) has announced a new job opportunity for qualified professionals to join its Gavi-supported REACH Project as a Program Manager in Plateau State. This full-time position is part of an ongoing effort to strengthen immunization delivery in underserved and conflict-affected communities across Nigeria.

About the REACH Project

The REACH (Reaching Every Child in Humanitarian Settings) initiative is funded by Gavi and implemented in partnership with the International Rescue Committee. The project focuses on identifying and vaccinating zero-dose and under-immunized children, especially in hard-to-reach and fragile communities. It is currently active in states including Kaduna, Plateau, Borno, and Sokoto.

Key Responsibilities of the Program Manager

The selected candidate will:

  • Coordinate daily implementation of project activities across Plateau State
  • Oversee immunization outreach and mobile health services
  • Strengthen community engagement through local leaders and health structures
  • Supervise data collection using digital tools like DHIS2 and CommCare
  • Prepare reports and track performance metrics
  • Build partnerships with government agencies and stakeholders

Requirements and Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medicine
    5–10 years of experience in health program management
  • Strong background in immunization and donor-funded projects
  • Knowledge of Nigeria’s primary healthcare system
Additional qualifications such as a
  • Master’s in Public Health and experience in humanitarian settings will be considered an advantage.
