HND Computer Science Unbundling Fully Accredited by NBTE in Nigeria
The restructuring of Computer Science programs in Nigerian polytechnics has received full accreditation from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), marking a major step in the modernization of technical education in the country.
According to the NBTE, the updated curriculum framework allows institutions to offer more specialized and industry-focused training within the HND Computer Science program. This development is aimed at improving graduate employability and aligning academic training with current global technology demands.
Under the accredited structure, students can now pursue focused areas such as Software Engineering, Cyber Security, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Networking, and Web Development, depending on institutional capacity and approval.

The board further noted that continuous monitoring and evaluation will be carried out to maintain compliance and improve program delivery across accredited institutions.
