AISVIP Recruitment 2026: Protection Monitor Job Opening in Yobe State
Aid Initiative to Support Vulnerable and Ideal People (AISVIP), a humanitarian organization committed to supporting vulnerable populations in Northeast Nigeria, is recruiting a Protection Monitor for its project in Damagum, Fune LGA, Yobe State.
The Protection Monitor will play a key role in identifying and responding to protection risks affecting vulnerable groups, including women, children, and persons with disabilities. The role involves conducting regular protection monitoring through community engagement, focus group discussions, key informant interviews, and direct observation.
The officer will document protection concerns, track trends, and collect data using approved tools and digital platforms.
In addition, the role requires active community engagement to promote protective practices and raise awareness of available services. The Protection Monitor will support the safe identification and referral of at-risk individuals to appropriate services, while also disseminating information on feedback and complaint mechanisms.
The position includes responsibilities for preparing timely reports, alerts, and updates for project management, as well as supporting early warning and response systems at the community level. Participation in local coordination meetings within the LGA is also expected.
All activities must adhere to core protection principles, including confidentiality, accountability to affected populations (AAP), and the “do no harm” approach.
