The company is seeking experienced and results-driven professionals to manage sales operations in Akure, Warri, and Minna. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with strong FMCG sales backgrounds who are ready to drive market expansion and lead high-performing teams.

Job Summary

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, increasing market share, expanding distribution channels, and managing relationships with distributors. The role also involves leading Territory Sales Executives and Sales Representatives to achieve business targets.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
  • Lead and develop sales teams for high performance
  • Manage distributor relationships and ensure operational efficiency
  • Expand market coverage and distribution networks
  • Implement trade marketing strategies and monitor ROI
  • Utilize sales systems (SFA, DMS) and data analytics for decision-making
  • Identify performance gaps and execute corrective strategies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (MBA is an added advantage)
  • 3–5 years of experience in FMCG sales
  • Experience as a Territory Sales Manager or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of traditional trade and distribution networks
  • Proficiency in Sales Force Automation (SFA) and data tools
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
