Job Overview

The Data Research Officer will lead the design and implementation of both qualitative and quantitative research strategies. The role supports advocacy, policymaking, and program effectiveness by ensuring that research outputs are credible, timely, and aligned with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Design and conduct research studies using qualitative and quantitative methods
Collect, manage, and analyze data from multiple sources
Interpret research findings and provide actionable recommendations
Maintain data systems to ensure accuracy, integrity, and security
Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders
Collaborate with program teams to integrate research into policy and program design
Monitor and evaluate project outcomes using data-driven approaches

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in both qualitative and quantitative research
Strong expertise in data analysis
Proficiency in tools such as:
Kobo Toolbox, ODK Platform, Microsoft Excel, SQL
Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and presentation abilities
Ability to work independently and in a team
Good time management and attention to detail
