Oxford Africa Policy Innovation Competition 2026 Opens – Apply for Paid Internship with The Club of Rome

The Oxford Africa Conference has officially announced the launch of the Oxford Africa Policy Innovation Competition 2026, a flagship initiative designed to empower young Africans to shape impactful policies across the continent.

Organized in partnership with The Club of Rome, the competition invites African students and young professionals under the age of 30 to submit bold and practical policy ideas that address real institutional challenges.

About the Competition

The Oxford Africa Policy Innovation Competition 2026 is more than a contest—it is a platform aimed at bridging the gap between policy design and real-life implementation across Africa. Participants are expected to develop a Policy Innovation Blueprint (maximum of 2,500 words) focusing on systems-level solutions in areas such as governance, economic development, energy, and technology.

Selected applicants will benefit from:

  • A paid remote internship with The Club of Rome under its Earth4All initiative
  • Monthly stipend of £1,200 (September–December 2026)
  • Opportunity to present their ideas live at the Oxford Africa Conference 2026
  • Contribution to a globally distributed policy brief

  • Deadline: 15 April 2026

This initiative is targeted at emerging African leaders ready to influence decision-making spaces and contribute innovative solutions to pressing challenges across the continent.
