The International Rescue Committee (IRC), a globally recognized humanitarian organization founded in 1933 at the request of Albert Einstein, is currently recruiting for the position of Cash Program Officer in Borno State, Nigeria.

Job Summary
The Cash Program Officer will lead field-level implementation of IRC’s cash-based interventions, ensuring efficient, transparent, and accountable delivery of assistance to beneficiaries. The role involves extensive fieldwork and close collaboration with communities, stakeholders, and partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement cash transfer programs across assigned locations
- Conduct beneficiary targeting, registration, and verification
- Coordinate cash disbursement and monitor payment processes
- Carry out market assessments, feasibility studies, and post-distribution monitoring
- Engage communities through sensitization and mobilization activities
- Maintain accurate data records and support reporting processes
- Collaborate with financial service providers and local stakeholders
- Support MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning) activities
Program Development & Reporting
- Contribute to project planning and proposal development
- Support donor reporting with accurate and timely data
- Track budgets and spending plans with the program manager
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years post-NYSC experience in Food Security & Livelihoods
- At least 2 years in Cash Transfer Programming (including e-vouchers/digital payments)
- Strong experience in assessments (market, baseline/endline, PDM)
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in complex humanitarian environments
