NYSC Issues Important Notice to Foreign-Trained Nigerian Graduates Ahead of 2026 Mobilization
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has released an important notice directed at all Nigerian graduates who obtained their qualifications from foreign institutions.
According to the scheme, foreign-trained graduates must complete strict verification processes before they can be mobilized for national service. This is part of efforts to maintain the credibility and standard of the mobilization system.
Key Requirements for Foreign-Trained Graduates
All prospective corps members (PCMs) trained outside Nigeria are required to present the following:
- Original academic certificates (Degree/HND)
- Official transcript from the institution attended
- International passport showing data page and visa stamps
- Evidence of physical presence in the country of study
- Evaluation letter from relevant authorities where necessary
- Failure to provide complete and authentic documents may lead to disqualification or delay in mobilization.
Important Warning
The NYSC also warned prospective corps members to avoid fake agents and unofficial platforms claiming to assist with registration or document processing. All procedures should be done through the official NYSC portal.
Verification Process
Foreign-trained graduates will undergo physical verification at designated centers across Nigeria. This exercise is mandatory and ensures that only qualified candidates are enlisted into the scheme.
Mobilization Update
Candidates are advised to stay updated with official announcements regarding mobilization dates, verification schedules, and orientation camp activities.
Final Note
The NYSC emphasized that compliance with all guidelines is essential for successful registration and participation in the scheme. Prospective corps members should prepare early to avoid last-minute issues.
